Mr. John D. Purifoy a resident of Shorter, Alabama died on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama surrounded by family and friends. A public viewing will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Burton's Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 12:00 pm from Greater St. Mark Baptist Church; Dr. C.P. Noble, Pastor; Rev. Michael Edwards, Pastor Divine Bethel Church, Milstead, Alabama, officiating. Internment, Divine Bethel Church cemetery.
Mr. Purifoy will lie in repose one (1) hour prior to services. Professional care and final arrangements entrusted to Burton's Funeral Home where "We Cherish the One You Love"
